Liver/Lung

Liver/Lung

Liver cancer is the growth and spread of unhealthy cells in the liver. It is a leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. The American Cancer Society estimates that 24,000 new cases of liver cancer were diagnosed in 2010. Lung cancer is the second most common cancer in men (prostate) and women (breast) and accounts for 15% of all new cancers.

More people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined and accounts for 27% of all cancer deaths. Despite the very serious prognosis, it can be cured. More than 400,000 people alive today have been diagnosed with lung cancer at some point. This section provides patients and survivors advice, stories and tips to help fight these cancers.
